KIP Education CIC offers this one-day training course on creative approaches for engaging and empowering young people in social change.
This course is experiential in nature, and offers knowledge, skills, and self-reflection practices for delegates. Using a series of case examples, delegates will draw on 25 years of experience in creative approaches to youth work. This course is to provide practitioners with the practical skills and effective techniques that will help them to raise self-awareness, increases assertiveness in both staff and young people, build motivation and self-esteem, break free from unhelpful behavioural patterns and encourage young people to take responsibility for their actions and choices.
Using impressive and practical techniques that elicit change, empower and build resilience in young people. Delegates will gain techniques in building confidence, self-awareness and motivation. Develop understanding on how habits are formed and how they can be broken. Delegates will learn specialist techniques on how to encourage a proactive attitude and eliminate blame. Understanding the power of thoughts, conflict resolution skills, reflective listening and effective communication skills.

Charlotte Gordon has spent 25 years working with young people of all ages specifically working in substance misuse & sexual health.
Charlotte is a life-coach, focusing on specialist techniques such as, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy and NLP. This had led her to develop a unique process for helping individuals and groups to elicit change.
Charlotte is the founder and director of KIP Education and chairwoman of the Drug Education Practitioners Forum, and is a core member of the Sex Education Forum and the PSHE Association.
Charlotte’s professional career and personal history as a vulnerable young person has allowed her to develop a unique training style that is informal and effective. She currently delivers training nationwide to various professionals, including substance misuse workers, teachers, social workers, mental health workers, youth workers and youth offending teams, and all professionals working with young people. Charlotte plans and implements workshops on drugs, alcohol, addiction, sexual health, internet safety, bullying, eating disorders , self-harm and self-injury, domestic violence and teen-dating abuse in schools and youth settings.
